I can't believe this picture is actually finally finished


This took 2 weeks to complete. I don't think I've EVER spent that much time on a picture EVER.

I was listening to the song "Forever Young" by Rod Stewart (shuttup I like it TT.TT ) and a sort of montage music video thing was going on in my head. Well, I have NO time to animate a full music video right now, so I settled for this strange... comic... thing instead.

Hopefully, even if you don't like Rod Stewart you'll like the lyrics... or just pretend the lyrics aren't there
SO! Rundown!

1: Leo I really like how he came out.. even though he STILL looks slightly girly I really like the colours in this one.
As for the line, I wish there had been a line that suited him more personally. I'm justifying giving him this line because out of the 4 brothers, Leo is the one who spends the most time away from home (Japan, South America etc)

2: Mikey This picture makes me smile~ my buddy Brad said he couldn't decide whether this picture or the one of Splinter were the best.
As for the line, really, I think it's pretty self explanatory XDDD

3: Raph~ I'm not happy with this one really Raph's head is too big. *siiiighs* this was during the period where no matter how hard I tried I Just. Couldn't. Draw him!
As for the line, the word "Pride" urged me to match Raph to this line.

4: Donny~~ hee. I don't draw him enough at all but I love him so. The pencil sketch looked weird, but he actually came out fine once I coloured him.
this line just matches Donny. Don's the bleeding heart of the four brothers as well as the gentlest. it just seemed right

5: Splinter~~ I'll be honest, the real reason I drew this thing was just to draw Splinter XDDDD Even though he only appears twice in this, this comic...thing is meant to be very Splinter-centric. I hope it reads that way. The line is not meant to signify him but rather to be spoken by him.

6: I didn't like the pencils for this picture, but it looks pretty good after I coloured it. Don and Leo are sitting together because they need more interactions between them IMO. Mikey is having fun watching the fireworks. Raph is having fun watching Mikey XD
This line gave me trouble as I wasn't sure how to interpret it properly with a visual. I hope it makes sense on some level.

7: Oh HELL yes!! My favourite rabbit and mah main man Casey! for a very long time I couldn't figure out how to position the two of them. Even now it kinda looks like Usagi is gonna stab Casey in the eye XDD but oh well. I like how Casey came out. I'd never drawn him before. He's the best human character in the show IMO!
Who is the prince and who is the vagabond? up to you

8: hee~ I broke canon a little but the schoolboy crush D'ello has on April seems to be pretty widely accepted among the fans. I don't put TOO much weight on it myself, but it's a fun idea and interesting to play with. besides, it worked with the line. This is probably the only 'sad' panel. Because if we're going with the schoolboy crush thing, it really is loving in vain. Sorry Don.

9: I totally half-assed the background XD;; I'm really sorry about that. this panel was meant to be emotive, but I've been staring at this for so long I dunno if it still reads that way.
After I saw the one episode of TMNT FF where Splinter says the only thing one can give one's children in life roots, and wings, this picture got some added depth to it I think. I drew it before watching that episode.

10: another half-assed background XD;;;;; really sorry guys. I had a VERY hard time trying to decide what to do for a background, I hope it's not too lame.
this picture probably gave me the most problems and I still think it's the weakest of all of them (which sucks because it's suppose to be 'the punchline' ) but oh well I can only do so much I guess *siiiiighs* The only one who really came out any good is Leo.

Anyway there you have it. I'll probably be spamming your inboxes with wallpaper sizes of 4 or 5 of the panels so just bare with me through that

Hopefully you guys like it. I put a HELL of a lot of work and sleepless nights into it.
