'Come Find me...'

EDIT: HOLY CRAP! I forgot his stripes!! WHOOPS! 8D;;; I'll fix that soon don't worry!

I tried a new way of colouring for this... it's strange, this was suppose to be just an experimental drawing, but somewhere along the way it became a more completed piece. I liked it for quite a while, but now I'm not so sure what I think of it any more.

So what's the story behind this? Well basically the idea was based on the fact that in the game "Tools of destruction" Ratchet has to deal with a lot of emotions and truths he's never really had to face before. And more than anything he has to face the truth that he is, on some level, all alone in the universe. But then of course after TOD's Ending when Clank leaves him, this image which had been in my head for quite a while gathered a whole deeper meaning as far as Ratchet's loneliness went.

I don't really wanna pi down any real meaning behind this with a complete fleshed out story, but basically using the Lombax map he and Clank found in the game, and with some reverse engineering and a good amount of Amplifiers, Ratchet invented a "beacon", a signal he could send out and that would be seen and understood by those who's searching for.

So the question is, who is he calling? The Lombaxes? Missing!Clank? Maybe even the guardian, hoping he's still alive somehow? well... that's up to you to decide.

He's on Veldin btw, because I found some concept sketches for Veldin being in TOD, but the planet was never featured which makes me sad, because when you've been a fan for as long as I have, you tend to have a very soft spot for the red dust ball.
