  [link]  I Promise I'm not getting all preachy and overly artsy on you people.  No, the reason behind the title is simply because I didn't want to just name the picture "Raphael".. ..so, since I'm a giant dork, I used the etymology BEHIND the name "Raphael" instead.  in some very strange, obscure, fangirl way, I think the name suits him. Technically Raphael means "It is God who heals" but since the meaning behind names are never word for word set in stone I took a little liberty with it... heck I don't think I could even call it "liberty" XDD it's more or less the exact same thing.Raph is named after the Italian artist Raphael Sanzio... but I just can't shake the fact out my head that "Raphael" is also the name of an Archangel XD;;; ANYWAY, forgive the extremely nerdiness  This picture doesn't have a story behind it. I wanted to draw Raph and I wanted to draw him non-pissy. Oiginally this picture was gonna be a lot more dramatic, but when I drew it I really didn't like the result at all. So I redrew it from a different angle and took a few "Steps back" from Raph. It took away the intensity of the picture but since I didn't have a story to go with it I felt it didn't matter and just changed the mood of the picture. And then I put him in the snow. The backgrounds kinda rushed but I kinda like it. Where is he and what has shaken him up? I do not know. Maybe you guys have some ideas? I like the colours in this, and I like How Raph turned out... I tried to show both the bone of his shoulder as well as his bicep and I hope it reads right. I wasn't using any anatomical reference so yeah.  I adore his eyes! It's almost like he just came across an angel and he cant believe his own eyes~ XD Another scenario is that he's at the farmhouse's porch looking at one of the second floor windows, but who knows what he's seeing; maybe someone sitting on the roof? A beautiful dark sky with a brightly showing moon? A meteor shower? Your guess is as good as mine~ -- Family: ~Renoa-Heartilly ~FriendlySlig ~Rikku-Heartilly 8'DD 5 minutes ago I was looking at this picture and opened up photoshop to actually CHANGE his collar-bone and neck but ended up not doing so because I wasn't sure what to do with it! XDDD I kinda thought he looked like he found an angel too. Maybe it's the title combined with the picture? I dunno. I'm not complaining The farm house might actually be a good location for this picture.
